Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.

Observation Checklist

Undertake drill path planning and sequencing in accordance with machine capability, working conditions, requirements of the drill pattern, and organisational requirements 
Coordinate multiple drills on the same drill pattern in line with requirements for quality, safety, and efficiency 
Control access to drilling areas in accordance with entry and exit procedures to ensure the safety and efficiency of people and equipment undertaking operations in vicinity of automated drill rigs 
Confirm that scheduled timing for replenishment of consumables aligns with system data on usage and take action where necessary 
Monitor control system gauges to maintain drill rotation speed and pressure, feed force and penetration rates within required parameters 
Monitor drill rig sensors, camera feeds and positional data to confirm drills are operating according to plan 
Monitor drill operations in higher risk areas to enable timely intervention when needed 
Monitor people and equipment in the drilling area and the boundaries between automated and manned equipment to ensure functional safety 
Monitor completed blast holes against specific quality requirements in the drill plan, and identify and record anomalies 
Prioritise and resolve alarms, warning devices and systems in accordance with organisational procedures 
Compensate or adjust to potential adverse situations within designated level of own responsibility 
Confirm obstacle detection readings using drill rig cameras and request site personnel to investigate if drill operations are likely to be impacted 
Respond to changed conditions in drilling area in a timely manner and follow escalation protocols according to the situation
